My tongue was on fire; a zingy, lemony, spicy flavor that would linger on my tongue for the remainder of the evening. I had tasted countless plates of somtam from the northern end of Soi 101/1 all the way to the Southern end, and I still had not found the perfect somtam. Although I was satiated and fatigued, I allowed my curious senses to seek out the flawless somtam that was hiding somewhere on my street.
